1. Department Establishment Kelantan State Department Of Agriculture was established in 1930 . In early stage of establishment Department Of Agriculture or famously called "Pejabat Tanaman" .At that time the office was situated in the same building with Kota Bharu Land and District Office.The District Office at that time was called "Long Office" by the Kota Bharu communities. This office was situated infront of Jahar Palace , Kota Bharu. In 1932 the office was transfered to Jalan Tok hakim which was situated at the shop lot near Wong poto studio now.At the end of 1934 it was transfered again to Jalan Telipot which now developed into housing estates and a mosque(Telipot Mosque). Lastly in 1973 it was transfered to Kampong Lundang, which is now known as Kompleks Pertanian Lundang, Kota Bharu. 2. Staffing The first officer (1930) which was responsible to manage the department was an european named J.A Graig with a tittle "Principal of Agriculture Kelantan". He was assisted by an "Office Boy" named En Mahmood bin Kassim. The appointment of En Mahmood as an "Office Boy" effected on 1.2.1931. On 1.6.1933 allahyarham Tuan Hj. Hassan bin Abdullah was appointed as"Malay Agricculture Subordinate" (Juruteknik Pertanian) . On 1.1.1934 Tuan Hj Mahmood bin Yaacob was apointed as "Malay Agricultural Assistant" (Pembantu Pertanian).They were the early staffs of the Department Of Agriculture . The main task of the Department Of Agriculture at that time was as a centre of extension and research .Besides that the department also responsible for the developement of veterinary services,irrigation services and rubber. Telipot agriculture centre was established in 1933 Bachok and Pasir Mas in 1935.This was followed by agriculture cenre Pasir Puteh, Melor, Batang Merbau, Kampung Pungsu, Dabong and Lundang .
